Your Love Is Forever | acoustic
An acoustic guitar lesson on "Your Love Is Forever" by George Harrison from his 1979 self titled album. This was IMHO one of his best albums, really relaxed and chill with some excellent songs and a very different more polished sound no doubt due to producer Russ Titelman, a very slick grammy award winning LA producer. There are also a lot of great musicians on it including Stevie Winwood, Eric Clapton and Willie Weeks who played a fantastic bass part on this track. I'd completely forgotten about this song until someone recently suggested it. I don't really do many requests because my list is so long but this is a special song I think. I remember buying the album when it came out and immediately thinking what an incredibly beautiful song this was!
Other than a couple of different fingerings and some rhythmic things, it's simple to play and being in open D tuning, it sounds amazing! I really love George's music and I'm going to start doing more lessons on his stuff in the new year. I really enjoyed working on this song. It put me in a great space the whole time I was doing it! I hope that you get something from the video and that you enjoy playing this forgotten George Harrison classic. Cheers Andy |
