O Christmas Tree | acoustic

An acoustic guitar lesson on one of my favorite traditional Christmas songs, "O Christmas Tree."

This is a relatively simple arrangement. The melody is so strong, it really doesn't need much. I threw in a cascading lick at the end to try to simulate Christmas bells, that is by far the trickiest part of the arrangement. I spent a ton of time on that actually and I love the sound of it, but if it's too tough, you can just play the ending normally.

Like many of my Christmas arrangements, I tried to keep a lot of strings ringing almost like a harp. I also used a lot of reverb. I think that fits the mood of the piece.

I really loved working on this song. Working on such a beautiful piece of music put me in a great space!
